Antinori Cervaro Della Sala 2006

The first vintage, 1985, was released in 1987 and its named was taken from a name that translates as "Stag of the Hall", taken from that of the 14th century feudal owners of Castello della Sala, the Umbrian castle Antinori purchased in 1940.

Vibrant aromas of citrus fruit, pineapple, pears and acacia flowers blend on the nose. The rounded palate has sweet hints of hazelnut butter but is also minerally and lingering. This wine will age and develop very well.

"Offers complex aromas of cream, ripe apple, mineral and blanched nuts, even flowers. Full-bodied, with lots of fruit and a long, long finish. Intense and beautiful. Like a great white Burgundy. Should age incredibly well. Chardonnay and Grechetto. Drink now."
